JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extraordinary project manager. You must be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet changing deadlines while diligently managing and ’owning’ all aspects of property. Negotiation skills are a plus.

Extensive packing and unpacking for frequent trips. Must be able to remain flexible, adapting to changes in travel plans, appointments, etc.

Manage wardrobe, purchasing, care and inventory of clothing.

Monitor and replace household supplies, maintain and update inventories as needed. Personal shopping and online ordering/research.

Manage incoming and outgoing mail/shipments, keeping detail lists, as well ownership of delivery.

Team player who works well & effectively with family and other staff. Ability to be proactive, anticipating and solving problems before they occur, flexible to an ever-changing work environment.

Must be tech-savvy (Mac acclimated strongly preferred) and able to work with technical support on all issues ensuring fast resolution and effective planning for installation and future needs.

Manage house budget meticulously, ensuring vendor invoices are accurate before processing payments.

Coordinate with house managers in two other locations as needed with regard to shipments/inventory, food supplies, vehicles, etc.

The diversity goes from running errands, to tending to business admin and personal needs, which may include some calendar management, online research, handling correspondence and more.

This role may be asked to travel occasionally to serve as personal assistant on both domestic and international trips. Opportunity to be discussed with leading candidates.

The Quality Assurance (QA) In-House Supervisor assists and works under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager of Ocean Mist Farms.

The qualified candidate will be an effective advocate of the Ocean Mist label and organization by always striving to produce and ship the highest quality, most consistent and desirable product while striving to achieve the lowest cost per unit. An attention to detail in all activities is imperative. At all times maintains a professional image that supports Ocean Mist Farms image and goals. A strong work ethic and job dedication is essential to be successful in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee the daily activity of the Ocean Mist Farms In-House Quality inspectors. Oversee and perform random and in-house quality inspections for all commodities harvested each day including outside purchased products for California - Castroville, Huron, Oxnard, Coachella, Arizona – Yuma; and Mexico.
•Monitor rejections from customers & distribute reports with detailed information to all necessary parties within the organization (sales, field managers, harvesting managers, shipping, cooling, receiving, growers, etc.)
Follow up customer visits with multiple rejections from the same customer, is required. May be required to travel on short notice to customer sites.
•Rate products according to Ocean Mist Farms standards, including additional characteristics such as weight, color, condition, appearance, pack, temperature, and carton appearance. Products will be rejected to responsible party if they do not meet Ocean Mist Farms standards;
•Check product condition and temperature before and after cooling to ensure proper cooling methods are followed; monitor receiving, cooling and storage of product to ensure proper and timely cooling;
•Respond to and direct requests for quality inspections of specific lots to Quality Assurance In-House Inspectors;
•Provide and review written reports on all incoming commodities according to Quality Assurance Legend;
•Input and review all necessary data into Personal Data Assistant (PDA) on all inspection reports for aging, daily harvest, and raw product for Value Added, Mexico and purchased product according to the Quality Assurance Legend;
•Communicate with Quality Assurance Manager, Sales staff, Inventory Manager, Shipping Staff, Commodity Managers, Harvesting companies and other staff regarding ratings of product such as weight, color, condition, appearance, and packing;
•Communicate and oversee Buyer representatives and outside inspectors ensuring inspections are properly completed and leave inspected cartons in good condition with inspection card inside. Gather general information from representative and compare with Ocean Mist Farms;
•Coordinate and verify delivery of incoming product in poor condition with Sales Department staff;
•Oversee and assist team members to prepare and coordinate arrival of product for exhibitions, fairs, conventions and customer on-site tours;
•Make recommendations to Quality Assurance Manager for cooling, icing, cartons, packaging and palletizing of product;
•This position will include travel or seasonal relocation to company’s working locations;
•Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•One – three years experience as a Harvest Crew Leader is preferred;
•One – three years employee supervisory experience is preferred;
•Bilingual in English/Spanish is required;
•Basic math and reading skills is required;
•Able to correctly use radio frequency hand held devices is required;
•Must maintain a current valid California Drivers License (class C) and be insurable.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
•Work under general supervision;
•Supervise others, including and up to, provide employee feedback, disciplinary communication, performance reviews and training.

WORK SCHEDULE:
•This position requires that employees work Monday through Saturday, including some Sundays and holidays;

This position manages the center’s large volunteer staff in providing smooth operations and great customer service to our members.
The Volunteer Coordinator is a representative of the Center to both the members and volunteers and is an integral part of the Center’s success.

Outreach:

Volunteer Management:
• Interview volunteer applicants for suitability and match volunteer skill sets to the proper position

• Develop and manage the monthly volunteer calendar, make schedule adjustments and be able to cover the front desk on as-needed bases

Event Management

• Serves as liaison between senior staff and event contractors such as entertainment, technical (lights/sound), volunteers, catering, etc.
• Ensures timely set-up of event venue
• Coordinates required set-up and tear-down of event venues

• Coordinates and plans appointments between appropriate staff and event contractors

Office Management
• Working knowledge of MS-Office programs
• Maintains and updates all areas of the Center with current flyers for Programs and Business Partners

• Maintains event files and up-to-date vendor information

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities. A track record of providing excellent customer service along with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and experience working with the public is required.

Experience working with the senior community is a plus.
